Noa Commendador

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Noa Commendador joined the Clear Lake Environmental Research Center (CLERC) in August 2025 and serves as Operations Coordinator with a focus on projects and outreach. In this role, she supports CLERC’s programs by organizing data, coordinating logistics, and translating complex information into clear, user-friendly materials across digital and print platforms, including websites, social media, and printed outreach materials. Working closely with staff across programs, Noa helps connect field efforts, data systems, and public communication to ensure projects are well documented, accessible, and effectively shared in support of CLERC’s mission to steward the environmental and economic sustainability of Clear Lake, its neighboring lands and waters, local communities, and beyond.

Noa brings more than a decade of experience in marketing, communications, design, and information technology, along with over ten years working in California’s regulated cannabis industry. Her background includes leading creative campaigns, developing product and packaging designs, managing compliance-focused communications, and coordinating an international art competition that connected artists from around the world. She also has hands-on cultivation experience, where she developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the natural rhythms that support healthy plants and ecosystems.

She is an FAA Part 107 licensed commercial drone pilot and contributes aerial imagery, video, and orthomosaics to support project monitoring, mapping, and reporting.

Noa’s decision to join CLERC is also shaped by personal experience. After losing her home in the 2020 Glass Fire, she was inspired to work with an organization dedicated to wildfire mitigation, ecological stewardship, and protecting the communities and landscapes of the region.

When she is not at CLERC, Noa enjoys traveling with her husband to explore new places, visiting art galleries and museums, listening to music, attending concerts, and spending time with their two French bulldogs at home in Lakeport.
