Operations Assistant

Mayme Parker grew up on over two acres that backed up to a regional park in Sonoma County, swimming in ponds and lakes, and getting to know the local lizards, frogs and other wildlife. As an adult, she traveled internationally and admired the landscapes of faraway lands. She has a BA in Liberal Studies from the Hutchins School at Sonoma State University, and studied Modern History and Politics at Royal Holloway, University of London. For sixteen years, she worked closely with local small family farms in the Northern California regulated cannabis industry. These experiences have culminated in a deep passion for all things at the intersection of nature and humanity. She now lives in Ukiah with her husband and her two young children, and dreams of seeing them grow up adventuring in the natural world. Clear Lake Environmental Research Center seems like the perfect place to be in order to have a hand in protecting our natural resources for future generations in this community, and Mayme is proud to have a small part contributing to this mission in her role as Operations Assistant.

A few of Mayme’s favorite things: Hiking, reading, traveling, cooking and eating delicious food, and hanging out in her veggie garden with her family.
